Heirloom Kitchen Gardening
Guest Speaker: Jodi Torpey
When plains settlers planted their kitchen gardens, they used the seeds they carried with them across the miles. Thanks to their diligent seed saving, and their desire to pass them along, today’s gardeners can still plant old vegetable favorites that have history in every bite.

This talk turns back time to help gardeners gain a new appreciation for the flavors, colors, textures and imperfections that make heirloom vegetables worth growing. Discover new heirlooms to plant, how to manage the kitchen garden, and tips for saving seeds to share with others.
