Let’s take a moment to just sit still and breathe in all that’s around us. We will talk a bit about the poetry in everyday moments. And then delve into winter trees and how to use shades from black to white to draw them and to explain the recurring triangle fractal of tree branches you can see in winter when the leaves are gone.
Sometimes
I think
It’s ok to just pass through
–
Notice
Winter branches grasping for the sky
Bird cries and calls piercing silent days
The tweak of musk in the air
Or fruit, so ripe on the tree that you can taste it
The softness of a
Blown in the wind
brushing skin fallen leaf
—
Or just taking breaths
One at a time
Quietly standing still
—
Maybe that’s the mark
You make on this world
—
And that - is enough
